Race Day Fashion For Men

This spring, the year in horse racing will jump into action with a few big occasions in the UK kicking off the season. And at such big occasions, the focus is increasingly on fashion.

Often, men and women have been separated as spectator groups for horse races. Women are generally expected to emphasize fashion, wearing bright, bold styles in accordance with the general atmosphere of the sport. This might mean lots of preparation browsing through styles from years past, and of course picking out the perfect derby hats. It also means staying up-to-date with the season’s hottest fashion trends, though race day fashion is fairly constant.

Men, on the other hand, are viewed as caring more about the races and betting scene. Already, the betting culture for horse racing is heating up in 2015, with Bet Fair having posted a preview two months in advance that looks into contenders for the Gold Cup at Cheltenham. This will be one of the first major races of the year and will indeed spark lots of betting activity and close attention to the actual races—largely among men. But just as many women spectators will pay plenty of attention to the competition, men are also increasingly focused at fashion at horse races.

Browse through men’s fashion at Angelo Galasso, or for that matter Leonard Logsdail, and you’ll get the idea of the sort of attire expected. Sharply tailored suits are a must, and brown leather (in shoes, watch bands, and belts) often wins out, perhaps cultivating a more rustic look. Beyond that, men improvise as much as women with race day fashion. Bright colors, accessories (including hats, pocket squares, etc.) and the like such as you can find at the sites just referenced are encouraged. This is one event where bold, fun, personal taste is best.

Vitamins for healthy looking hair: Simple as A, B, C, D & E

Your hair….. Too many products leave it looking dried, frazzled and abused. Not enough product and it looks unkept and unloved. Here’s a quick breakdown of the 5 Best Vitamins for Healthy Hair and where you can find them so you’re not just feeling your best, you’re looking it too.

Responsible for healthy vision, glowing skin, and healthy hair, vitamin A contains the compounds retinol and beta-carotene, which also help in maintaining healthy vision and glowing skin. Dietary source include fish, meat, dairy products and carrots, dark leafy greens, apricots and grapefruits,

B Complex

B Complex vitamins are a powerful group, verified by that fact that at least three of them
Biotin (B 7), Cobalamin (B 12), Niacin, (B 3) are responsible for healthy hair growth. They play a role in creating a healthy scalp, stimulating growth and strengthening hair fibers already on your head. Unlike fat soluble vitamins like A, D, E & K, the B vitamins are water-soluble, meaning your body doesn’t store them so you need to have a rich supply in your diet on a daily basis. B Vitamins are readily available in a wide variety of foods, including but not limited to fish and shellfish, poultry, dairy, leafy greens, cereals and beans. In other words, EAT!

What isn’t Vitamin C good for? This revered immune booster is also an essential catalyst to grow new hair and strengthen the brittle fibers on your head. Many shampoos are adding C as a result now, and dietary sources include the citrus family and brightly colored fruits like papayas and watermelons, as well as cranberries, blueberries, and raspberries.

The most readily available vitamin on the planet thanks to your body’s ability to synthesize it from sunlight, Vitamin D encourages healthy follicles, the roots of hair, so get outside for a few minutes on a regular basis and you should be fine. Dietary sources also include fish, eggs, poultry, meat and beans.

Vitamin E reduces inflammation, encourages healthy skin growth and repairs damaged follicles below the surface. Best found in foods such as dark leafy greens, seeds, nuts, and vegetable oils.

Many shampoo brands now add some of these vitamins into their products, so check the labels and replenish your stores from the inside and outside for a natural, healthy looking shine to your hair.

Iron and Zinc

True, Iron and Zinc are minerals, not vitamins, but since they’re both crucial to healthy hair and skin, we though to include them as well.

Iron is essential for the transport of oxygen to your cells, including your hair follicles. No oxygen equals no growth. Tt is found abundantly in red meat, fish, poultry, spinach, beans and cereals.

Zinc is crucial to growing healthy skin, hair and nails as it contributes to proper cell growth and division. Food sources of zinc include seafood (fish and shellfish), meat, chocolate, nuts and seeds.

Bastian Schweinsteiger

World-Class footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger, FC Bayern Munich and Captain of the German National team, keeps his fashion style infantry classic and military basic. Bastian can be found off the field in a pair of retro combat boots, a vintage M-65 leather or canvas field jacket, always featuring a concealed hood to keep him dry and warm. He often throws in a light weight survival scarf for that Apocalyptic look. For his more formal attire Bastian’s go-to brand is Hugo Boss.
